BusinessBetter — Privacy Policy.

1.Who we are

BusinessBetter is a product of Personnel Matters, Inc. ("Personnel Matters," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy covers both BusinessBetter product lines — The People Framework and BusinessBetter Framework Playbooks — and every page of this site. It applies whether you're just browsing, filling out an Intake questionnaire, or a returning customer on your delivery page.

2.What we collect

We collect what we actually need to build and deliver your order — not more than that.

Business details you give us at checkout: business name, industry, state, employee count, number of locations, and whether you personally handle HR.
Intake answers: whatever you tell us during Intake to configure your Playbooks or People Framework documents — your business model, which Service Lines you run, and similar operational details.
Voice memos, if you use one: on custom People Framework products, you can record a short voice memo instead of typing. We collect the recording and the transcript made from it.
Contact information: name, email, and phone number, whether from checkout, the Contact page, or a support conversation.
Payment information: handled directly by Stripe — we don't receive or store your full card number.

3.How we use it

To generate, configure, and deliver the documents or Playbooks you've purchased; to route your order to the right consultant when one is involved; to process payment and any recurring Update Subscription billing; to send delivery and order-status updates by email, and by text if you've opted in; and to respond when you contact us. We don't use your business or Intake information for anything beyond fulfilling your order and the ordinary business of running BusinessBetter.

4.How long we keep it

Voice memo audio is deleted 30 days after transcription — once we have the text, there's no reason to keep the recording.
Intake questionnaire responses and transcripts are retained for the life of your order plus one additional year, so a revision or a fresh copy doesn't mean starting over.
Your final delivered documents remain on your delivery page indefinitely, unless you ask us to remove them.

5.Who it's shared with

We don't sell your personal information, to anyone, ever. We do share what's necessary with the specific processors that help us build and deliver your order — each one only sees what it needs to do its job.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BusinessBetter, our customers, or others.

6.Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and check the box to receive texts, at checkout or on the Contact page, we may text you about your order or your question. That means order confirmations, delivery and status updates, scheduling for any session included in your purchase, account and subscription notices, and replies to questions you've sent us. We don't send marketing texts.

Texting is optional. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Frequency and cost: message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
To stop: reply STOP to any message. We'll send one message confirming you're unsubscribed, and nothing after that.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the sharing described in this policy, and will not be shared with any third parties.

7.Security

Everything connected to your order is encrypted, both in storage and while it's moving between our systems. Access to your order information is limited to the Personnel Matters team members and systems actually involved in producing and delivering it.

8.Your rights

Depending on where you or your business is located, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask what we've collected and why. We honor valid requests under applicable state privacy law, including California's CCPA/CPRA and similar laws in other states.

To make a request, email [email protected]. We don't sell personal information, so there's no "opt out of sale" request to make — there's nothing being sold.

9.Cookies & site analytics

Like most websites, this site may use cookies or similar technology for basic functionality and to understand how visitors use it — which pages get read, where people drop off, that kind of thing. This is standard site-performance information, not used to build a profile of you individually, and separate from the order and Intake information described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect how parts of the site display.

10.Children's privacy

BusinessBetter is a business-to-business product, built for business owners and operators. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the product or our processors change. The version posted here is the current one; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
